Question 2

Should I book or a court or drop-in?

We encourage a court booking as it guarantees you the court. We do not have a drop-in designated time so it is possible that we may not have space when you get here. Drop-in is recommended for Monday - Friday mornings until 4:00 pm, excluding the summer, as that's when our courts are most free.

What's the best time to book?

All seasons except summer we are running our group programs and private lessons. Monday - Friday from 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am - 6:30 pm will primarily be our busy times.  During the major school breaks we will also be unavailable from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

There are some chances for courts to be opened up based on cancellations, you can still try to book these times.

Do you provide rental equipment?

We offer badminton rackets and shoes (limited sizing) free of charge. We do not provide shuttles. Pickleball paddles are $5.00/paddle and balls are free!

Question 6

Do you have official pickleball nets for use?

By default we setup the badminton net height to the pickleball height at 36" all across. 
The official pickleball net height is 36" at the ends narrowing down to 34" at the center.

Official pickleball nets are available upon request. We ask that the customer help setup and takedown the nets as our staff can be extremely busy helping other customers.

If I drop-in is there anyone to play with?

Unlike other facilities we do not have a designated drop-in time. The nature of our bookings tend to be organized with mostly groups of friends coming in together. If you drop-in looking for other drop-in members to play with you may not find anyone.

There are leagues that operate within our facility that have booked spaces. These leagues compose of adults looking for organized play, typically new to the area or to the sport. We recommend checking our website (https://www.gao-badminton.com/play/#leagues)for available leagues.

Do you provide training?

Our club Gao Badminton (https://www.gao-badminton.com/train/private-lessons/)has training options which you can visit our website.

We don't currently have any plans to offer pickleball training.
